Your words stay yours.

The app

Tearnote keeps your sheet and scraps on your own computer. It works fully offline and needs no account. Nothing you write leaves your device unless you send a scrap somewhere yourself (Obsidian, Notion, the clipboard) or keep its folder in a cloud service you choose, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive.

If the app ever counts how often features are used, that will be opt-in, will count actions only, and will never include what you write.

If you join the waitlist, your email address is stored with our mailing provider so we can write to you when Tearnote is ready to buy. We use it for that and nothing else, never sell or share it, and delete it if you ask; every email has an unsubscribe link.

Like any website, our host (Vercel) handles the requests your browser makes and may keep short-lived server logs to keep the site running.
